About Us

Matthew 5:14-16:

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.

Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."

Self-awareness. Confidence. Empowerment. Faith. Community. Education. These  concepts drive the staff of R.E.A.D.Y 2000, Incorporated. Founded in 1999 by Minister Diane  and Pastor Samuel C. Watkins, R.E.A.D.Y. 2000 is designed to encourage children from all walks of life to embark on the journey to becoming who they were born to be. Whether college bound, trade oriented, business focused, or military proud, each young person has a gift. And R.E.A.D.Y. wants to help them find it.

R.E.A.D.Y. 2000's staff is comprised of people from many different trades, career paths, and backgrounds. Educators, nurses, counselors, theologians, manufacturing and factory operation workers, law-enforcement, case managers, military personnel, and entrepreneurs work together to give students a glimpse of what their futures can hold.

R.E.A.D.Y. 2000 provides the children of Bulloch County and surrounding counties with the opportunity to engage in financially-affordable,wholesome,and enriching activities during the summer. We are a 501-C3 non-profit organization. Our fiscal budget is generated by fundraisers and supported by various community partners. The summer camp, being the organization’s biggest endeavor, has been held every year since 2007, and continues to be the organization’s most popular program.  Since the founding of R.E.A.D.Y 2000 twenty years ago, the organization has served over 800 students.
